Object of study - Stockholm сonvention on persistent organic pollutants, Geneva convention on long-range transboundary air pollution (LRTAP), Basel convention on the control of transboundary transportation of hazardous wastes and their disposal, Rotterdam convention on the prior consent procedure for certain hazardous chemicals and pesticides in international trade, Aarhus protocol on persistent organic pollutants to the 1979 Convention on long-range transboundary air pollution. Laws of Ukraine: "On environmental protection", "About waste", "On the protection of atmospheric air", "About pesticides and agrochemicals", "On measures to increase the level of chemical safety in the territory of Ukraine" and normative legal acts. Subject of study - assessment of the possibility of applying EU documents, legislation and normative legal acts of Ukraine for the development of draft standards for maximum permissible emissions of persistent organic pollutants from stationary and mobile sources.
