The goal of the work is to increase the environmental safety of the types and objects of planned activities that belong to the list of environmentally hazardous. Research methods – analysis of existing legislative, regulatory and methodological documents related to the object of research, synthesis of the constituent elements of the studied materials in the development of a recommendation document. Results and their novelty - for the first time, the first edition of the general methodological recommendations on the content and procedure of drawing up the plan and post-project monitoring report was developed, which complies with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On Environmental Impact Assessment", takes into account the experience gained in the development of projects of regulatory and methodological documents aimed at the implementation of European environmental impact assessment procedures, and practical environmental impact assessment and environmental monitoring. The criteria for the necessity of the implementation, general requirements for the terms and scope of the implementation, the content and procedure for drawing up the plan and the post-project monitoring report have been formulated. The recommendation document is intended for use by all economic entities, regardless of the forms of ownership, which are responsible for the construction, reconstruction and operation of objects of economic activity on the territory of Ukraine, state authorities, local self-government bodies, the authorized central body, authorized territorial bodies, the public .
