The purpose of the work is to determine the current epizootic state of the livestock industry of Ukraine regarding bovine leukemia, to give an assessment of the causes of relapses of the disease in livestock farms where health measures have been completed in the past 2-3 years, to develop a draft of instructions for the prevention and rehabilitation of bovine leukemia. Research methods are epizootological, serological, statistical. On the basis of the analysis of the results of serological studies of regional laboratories of the State Production and Consumer Service of Ukraine and own epizootological and serological examinations of cattle herds for leukemia in the farms of Kirovohrad, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions, conclusions have been made regarding the epizootic situation in animal husbandry regarding leukemia. For objective reasons, there is no information on the epizootic condition in livestock breeding in the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions. In general, both in the farms of the Central-Eastern region and in the livestock breeding of Ukraine as a whole, serological studies reveal a limited number (0.3-0.5%) of animals infected with the leukemia virus, with the exception of Transcarpathian and Lviv regions, where well-being with regard to the above-mentioned disease remains . The causes of epizootic relapses have been identified. The project "Instructions for the prevention and recovery of cattle from leukemia" was developed and approved by the Methodical Commission of the NSC "IEKVM" with subsequent submission of the latter to the Main Office of the State Production and Consumer Service of Ukraine.
