The research method includes a mathematical analysis of the operation of heat engineering systems, the main components of which are emitters, reflectors and receivers, the profile of which is presented in the form of curved lines and which function within the framework of a flat problem. Heat engineering installations with infrared emitters are widely used in the food industry to process a variety of products. However, the existing equipment does not provide effective, in a certain sense, heating, which can affect the quality of the final products. The paper examines issues that arise during the design of such installations, in particular - when determining the shapes of reflectors, which ensure the necessary law of heat distribution on the cylindrical surface of the receiver with a given profile. The possibility of calculations of cylindrical heat engineering systems in a flat setting has been established. A formula was found for determining the density of direct irradiation by a heat flux of a cylindrical receiver. The connection between the spatial coordinates of the point of the reflector, from which the heat beam is reflected, and the coordinates of the point of the working surface, where it enters, was revealed.
