The purpose of the work is a holistic analysis of modern problems of the development of Ukrainian philological and pedagogical science, the implementation of multifaceted research in Ukrainian linguistics, literary studies, folkloristics, dialectology, methods of teaching Ukrainian language and literature in general secondary and higher education institutions. Research methods are descriptive, comparative, typological, comparative, structural, historical-cultural, stylistic. The essence of the study of the problems of Ukrainian philology and education is that the scientific work of the teachers of the Department of Ukrainian Philology of the Moscow State University is implemented in the practice of teaching the block of disciplines of professional training, applied during practical classes, the organization of scientific research work of teachers and students, the organization of cooperation between the university and institutions of general secondary education and institutions of higher education both of the Mariupol community and of Ukraine as a whole, as well as when arranging programs for training, retraining, and improving Ukrainian language skills for citizens of various age and professional categories (applicants, teachers, civil servants, representatives of local self-government, law enforcement officers).
