The subject of the study is the interaction of the working bodies and surfaces of the separator and mixer with the bulk or granular materials, parameters of technological equipment. The purpose of the study is to increase the efficiency and reduce the energy consumption of the processes of mixing and separation of bulk and granular materials in the food and processing industries by developing efficient technological equipment. Research methods – the study tasks were solved using modern methods of theoretical and experimental research. Theoretical studies were based on the main provisions of theoretical mechanics, the theory of separation and mixing of bulk materials. Experimental studies were carried out in laboratory conditions using special laboratory equipment, developed separators and mixer, as well as standardized and developed methods. Statistical processing of experimental data was carried out using the methods of mathematical statistics with the help of software MathCAD 14 and Microsoft Office Excel 2007. Highly efficient and energy-saving methods of mixing and separation of bulk and granular materials were substantiated, efficient technological equipment for the implementation of these methods were developed, and mathematical models of the processes of mixing and separation of bulk and granular materials were obtained.
