The purpose of the work is theoretical and experimental substantiation of the design and ballistic parameters of ultralight launch vehicles, taking into account the interaction with the atmosphere. The main research methods are analytical and computational and experimental. A mathematical model, a numerical algorithm and methods of calculating aerodynamic and thermo physical processes during the movement of a launch vehicle with a polymer body in dense layers of the atmosphere are presented. The results of studies of the influence of aerodynamic and thermodynamic effects on the state of the polymer body of the launch vehicle during the passage of the atmospheric section of the trajectory are presented, and the project ballistic parameters of the polymer launch vehicle, taking into account the influence of the atmosphere, are substantiated. A generalized mathematical model has been developed for calculating the trajectory parameters of the launch vehicle in the passive part of the entry into the atmosphere in order to determine the possibility of destruction and disposal of spent polymer bodies using the combined method of diversion. Prospects of practical application of ultralight polymer launch vehicles for launching small satellites into low Earth orbits are considered. The novelty of the obtained results is that, for the first time, through experimental and numerical studies, the influence of aerodynamic and heat flows acting on the power body of a launch vehicle made of polymer material was determined, including taking into account the variable elongation of the structure. The significance of the work lies in the creation of a theoretical basis for the practical use of ultralight launch vehicles with polymer bodies for launching small spacecraft.
