The purpose of the study: Creation of new source material on the basis of intraspecific and interspecific hybridization and study of the nature of inheritance of basic traits and selection of new forms for further selection work. The main results of the work.  In the preliminary variety test, 5 samples were selected (Marina/Zorya 87, Kyivskyi/Viking, Aleksym/Lyder, Marina/Ariane, (K-6/T-10)/Mog.2), which exceeded the standard Gladiator variety in terms of fiber yield by 0, 09-0.32 t/ha (Gladiator standard 1.08 t/ha), and the sample Marina/Ariane in seed yield by 0.08 t/ha standard Zorya 87 (1.08 t/ha). According to the results of the competitive variety test, selection samples were selected that exceed the standard Gladiator variety in fiber yield (Ariane/Irma and Kyiv./Strunk) and the Zorya 87 standard in seed yield (Ukr. 2 / Giane, Marina / Mog.2).
