The aim of the work is to determine the optimal conditions for the synthesis of a number of xanthine dyes and study their spectral properties; to develop convenient methods for the preparation of new types of N,S-amidoalkylating and related reagents with heterocoupled groups. The research methods used were chemical synthesis, thin-layer chromatography (TLC), X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, ultraviolet spectroscopy (UV), mass spectrometry and quantum chemical calculations. A set of data on the synthesis of xanthine dyes was obtained and their spectral properties, such as quantum yield, absorption and fluorescence spectra, and molar extinction coefficients, were studied. Also during the reporting period, a method for the synthesis of xanthine dyes with predictable photophysical properties and a new method for the synthesis of 2H-1,3,5-oxadiazine-2,4(3H)-diimine derivatives were developed.
