However, the construction of highly maneuverable power stations requires significant capital investments. An equally urgent problem is the overloading of some power transmission lines, and sometimes their carrying capacity is simply insufficient. One of the ways to solve these problems is the implementation of a distributed generation and balance maintenance system. It is as such a system that it is possible to implement a virtual power station, which includes active consumers with buffer storage of electric energy. Their use makes it possible to reduce costs for the production of electricity, to smooth out the load profile of electrical networks; increase the reliability of the system as a whole. Today, the cost of electrochemical storage devices and converting equipment is quite high, so the task of determining the optimal parameters of a buffer storage device and creating an effective control system for its charge-discharge processes is an urgent task, which is confirmed by the interest of leading enterprises in the electrical engineering industry.
