Research methods: comparison, grouping, analysis of individual indicators of tourism system development, horizon scanning method, empirical methods, scenario modelling. Object of research - the process of forecasting the impact of the tourism system on the country's economy. The subject of the study is the theoretical and methodological foundations of forecasting, the tools of which determine the future state of the tourism system based on scenario design, trend analysis and strategic analysis, which determine the symbiosis of qualitative and quantitative research methods. The scientific results that characterise the scientific novelty of the research are as follows: forecasting methodology based on the foresight methodology has been developed, which is formed by combined methods of scenario planning, forecasting, strategic analysis, and expert surveys for building scenarios for the development of tourism systems; the fundamental principle of foresight is defined as the principle of alternative ideas about the future, which correlates with the conceptual space of the future, contributes to the formation of an expanded vision of development prospects in the context of rapid, unpredictable and rapid changes in the environment and provides opportunities for qualitatively different development options;the principles of foresight are systematised, which, unlike the existing ones, are supplemented by the principles of chronological, dynamic, interconnectedness, optimism, involvement, planning and strategic orientation, which allows to form organisational and methodological support for foresight studies of tourism to determine the resource components;the substantive characteristics of foresight are analytically substantiated based on the results of the tourism Product Description popup.authors Bovsh Lyudmila A.
