Abroad, scientists have developed new rules for feeding rabbits, approved by the VIII International Congress on Rabbit Breeding (2004), which provide for the use of starter compound feed for feeding weaned and weaned rabbits aged 18-42 days. Such feed is significantly different in terms of nutrition from compound feed for suckling female rabbits. Increased content of fat and starch, insufficient level of some factors of structured fiber, etc. in fodder for queens can negatively affect the productivity of the above sex-age groups of young animals. However, in industrial conditions under traditional technology, the use of starter compound feed is associated with certain difficulties: the absence of an additional feeder for rabbits, their free access to feed for suckling female rabbits, etc. In connection with this, there was an urgent need to improve the existing technology for growing weaned and weaned rabbits, which would involve the use of starter compound feed. The purpose of the work is to improve the technology of feeding and rearing suckled and weaned rabbits due to the use of starter compound feed in the conditions of an industrial enterprise.
