The purpose of the work is to improve measures for the prevention of congenital malformations in the modern conditions of reforming the health care system Research methods: epidemiological, statistical, informational and analytical. It is shown that the existing depopulation of the population requires rationalization of the demographic policy of the state. Behavioral models of future parents are systematized and summarized to assess their lifestyle. It is shown that the motivational component of reproductive behavior obeys the principle of polymotivation, hierarchical organization of motives and depends on the reinforcement factor and the household factor. Taking this into account is a prerequisite for improving reproductive behavior. Expanding neonatal screening to 21 nosologies with full state financing of both diagnosis and treatment will reduce the frequency of births of children with VVR. Economic costs at the national level will be offset by a decrease in child mortality and a decrease in the number of disabled children from childhood. The portrait of a woman of reproductive age is characterized from the standpoint of psychophysiological health, lifestyle, and fertility features. Profiles of all three components are built, taking into account the indicators. Psychophysical health included the following indicators: body mass index, chronic extragenital diseases, well-being, indicators of anxiety, depression, signs of PTSD. The way of life was based on the definition of social well-being, the regime of work and rest, nutrition, the presence of harmful habits, ecological characteristics of living conditions. The fertility profile included information on diseases, injuries, operations on the genitals; history of infertility, level of sexual education and psychological readiness for motherhood.
