The purpose of the work is to determine the theoretical and practical foundations and develop scientifically based practical recommendations for law enforcement officers regarding the evaluation and verification of the expert's opinion. Research methods are general scientific (general) and special methods of using special knowledge. Theoretical and practical results - can be used in the scientific research field, rule-making activities, law enforcement activities, expert practice, educational process. The novelty consists in the development of a complex scientific monographic study of the problems of assessment and verification of the expert's opinion in accordance with the current criminal procedural legislation.
