The purpose of the research is the automation of separate stages of the process of synthesis of finite state machines with the operational transformation of state codes through the development, algorithmic and programming implementation and research of the effectiveness of special approaches, models and methods. Research methods – development and software implementation of individual stages of synthesis of this class of devices using one of the universal programming languages. The research topic is gaining relevance in connection with the constant development of digital systems and their components, in particular, control units. The conducted research made it possible to determine the main methodological components, on which the methods and algorithms of the automated synthesis of finite state machine with datapath of transitions should be based. The novelty of the research consists in the development and formalization of the description of finite state machine with the operational transformation of state codes, the study of the effectiveness of the structures of this state machines class according to the criterion of hardware expenses, the development of a method for identifying formal solutions to the problem of algebraic synthesis of finite state machine. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the development of methods for state machine design of logical circuits of finite state machines based on FPGA FPGA.
