The hazard class of waste from the mining industry and thermal power industry has been determined based on the legislation of the European Union, respectively: in the case of oral intake into the body - III-IV class (category) of danger; in the case of inhalation - II class of danger (category) (highly dangerous); according to the radiation factor - classified as Class I materials (use without restrictions). There is a well-founded need to assess the hazard class (category) of waste taking into account the hazard criteria (HB1-HB15) of the Law of Ukraine "On Waste Management" and the European basic legislation, of which 11 are within the competence of the Ministry of Health, which allows classifying them as dangerous based on indicators of human impact and safety conditions of the population's living environment.
