On this basis, methods of transferring non-porous hydrophobic silica (or mixtures of different types of silica) into an aqueous environment, which are based on the use of dosed mechanochemical loads, have been developed and protected by patents for inventions. Hydrophilic properties of pyrogenic silica can be controlled by forming composites with hydrophobic silica by adding liquid hydrophobic substances and using mechanical loads. The physicochemical properties of several types of composite systems for medical purposes, created on the basis of structurally modified silicas and biologically active substances of natural origin, were developed and investigated. The nanoscale effects occurring in the limited space of the interparticle gaps of nanodispersed silicas with different hydrophobic-hydrophilic properties were investigated. Methods of increasing the solubility of curcumin by using surfactants such as ethonium have been developed. The possibility of using natural antioxidants based on the substances of arctic flora has been investigated. A number of hemostatic agents created on the basis of mixtures of hydrophilic and hydrophobic nanosilicas or polymethylsiloxane have been developed and introduced into medical practice. Based on nanosilica and polylactic acid, biocompatible composite materials suitable for controlled delivery of anti-inflammatory drugs (sodium diclofenac, ibuprofen) have been created. Methods of synthesis of bactericidal composites based on dispersed modified silicas and polylactide containing nanoparticles of copper oxide, silver or cerium dioxide are proposed.
