The purpose of the work is to develop criterion scales for comprehensive evaluation of health-forming behavior based on the analysis of the lifestyle of young people. Research methods: bibliographical; sociological survey; of mathematical statistics. The main components and factors influencing the health-forming behavior of young people have been determined. The expediency of supplementing the assessment of the impact of any factors on health with an indicator that characterizes the ratio of "negative" and "positive" components of this impact is shown. An analysis of the results of processing the questionnaire data was carried out, during which a reliable connection was found between the respondents' adherence to a healthy lifestyle and self-assessment of physical, emotional and general health conditions. The risks of the influence of non-adherence to a healthy lifestyle on the state of health have been studied. Age and gender differences in the health-forming behavior of young people are revealed. The basics of the approach to the calculation of criteria for comprehensive assessment of health status and components of a healthy lifestyle are proposed.
