Based on the results of the assessment of the conditions and peculiarities of the professional activity of unmanned aerial systems operators, a vocational program of this contingent was developed, a list of professionally important psychophysiological qualities was determined, and a set of effective and adequate methods for their assessment was selected. In order to develop new approaches to the psychophysiological examination of operators, 219 male servicemen aged 20 to 40 years old, who had experience in operating unmanned aerial systems of the first class "Light" and were involved in a wide range of professional tasks, were examined. Modified methods were applied using the software and hardware complex "PPS-2". A stepwise discriminant analysis was used to identify a set of informative indicators. A technology for obtaining several psychophysiological profiles of professional aptitude, equivalent in content, has been developed. The principle of "necessary diversity" in the implementation of professional psychophysiological selection of operators working in conditions with increased danger is proposed and discussed. A technology for graphical representation of psychophysiological profiles of unmanned aircraft system operators for the purpose of assessing their suitability for professional tasks has been developed. Methods for the psychophysiological component of the medical and flight examination with the relevant criteria for assessing the degree of fitness of operators of unmanned aircraft systems of the first class to work in their specialty according to psychophysiological characteristics were scientifically substantiated and developed.
