The high level of man-made pollution of the soil cover in Ukraine is due to the influence of the entire spectrum of ecological and natural-man-made factors, mostly ecologically unbalanced character of nature use. Soil cover and water resources need special attention for ecologically safe development of territories, environmental monitoring. Greater objectivity in research is provided by a complex combination of contact (ground) and remote monitoring methods, which have acquired high accuracy thanks to the development of remote sensing technologies from space and means of thematic decoding of the received images. Assessment of the condition of the soil cover, study and mapping of changes in the processes of nature use and anthropogenic impact on nature, tasks of soil cover monitoring are largely related to the construction of dynamic maps. The basis of the methods of their creation in the space monitoring system is the comparison of space images from different times, which record the state of the research object on different dates. The implementation of these methods is aimed at ensuring the accurate spatial arrangement of materials, obtaining dynamic information from them, and requires the selection of an appropriate data processing technology.
