The purpose of the work is the study of world experience, technological schemes for coal blend drying using the heat of coke oven gas combustion products with the addition of flue gases from the COB chimney flue and the heat of the waste steam after turbogenerators of coke dry cooling plants and technical as well as the economic evaluation of technologies. The method of the research is general empirical one (observation, comparison, measurement, analysis). The initial requirements for the development of basic technical solutions for the coal blend drying process are set. Options of drying the coal blend in drum and steam tube dryers are considered, depending on the type of heat carrier. Space - planning solutions for the building of drying departments for a given productivity based on the initial dried material are developed. The material and heat balances of the drying process were calculated and the main structural dimensions (diameter and length) of the dryers were determined, the main auxiliary devices of the technological drying process were determined for both options: continuous action dispensers for supplying wet products to the dryer, unlined heat generators, air supply fans, smoke extractors for used dryers agent, cleaning devices of the 1st and 2nd degree of dust cleaning. The work should be continued in the direction of a detailed assessment of the economic effect of the introduction of the selected type of dryer. The SRW results will be considered when choosing the optimal technologies for coal blend drying and will be used in advanced projects of SE "GIPROKOKS".
