The purpose of the work - Identification of the possibility of fluidized bed separators utilization for pre-screening of small-size classes before crushing with simultaneous drying of all coal blend and determination of technical and economic indicators. The method of the research is general empirical one (observation, comparison, measurement, analysis). The processes of drying and separation of the coal blend in a "fluidized bed" separator are considered. The dimensional, space-planning solutions of the building of the pneumatic separation department with drying, as well as the economic indicators of using the drying apparatus in the "fluidized bed" - the weight of the equipment, the consumption of fuel and electricity per hour, per shift and per day were determined. Calculations of the material and heat balances were carried out and the main structural dimensions of the pneumoseparation department with drying using a "fluidized bed" separator were determined. The main auxiliary devices of the technological process are defined: sluice feeders, unlined heat generator, air supply fans, smoke extractors, cleaning devices of the 1st and 2nd degree of dust cleaning. The work should be continued in the direction of a detailed assessment of the economic effect of the implementation of the selected fluidized bed separator.
