In particular, the dynamics of changes in alluvial soil formation on the rivers of both macro slopes of the Carpathians were investigated. Due to their light granulometric composition, the river sediments of the Dnister floodplain are low in humus, with a low absorption capacity, but saturated with bases up to 98%, dominated by calcium compounds. The peculiarities of detritogenesis in the monitoring areas of floodplains and drained soils of the Carpathians and Volyn-Podillia were considered. The main change processes include Fossilisation, deposition, and endogenous changes in the detrital cover. The analysis of vegetation monitoring of floodplain complexes at 75 monitoring sites of the territory of the Ukrainian Carpathians and the Transcarpathian Plain showed a high level of transformation of natural floodplain complexes during the last 5-25 years. A study of soils and vegetation of rare hard-water springs on tuffs and travertines was conducted. A comparative analysis of the structural and functional organisation of soils and bryogroups of natural and anthropogenic sources was conducted. Studies of the black stork population in the Shatske area in 2010-2023 established that this region has the highest density of individuals of the species in Ukraine. On an area of about 60,000 hectares, 13 new nests of the black stork were discovered. In cooperation with partner organisations, nature conservation management activities have been continued in selected areas of the "Daffodil Valley" Ramsar site to restore rare degraded meadow-swamp complexes. A study was conducted, a justification was prepared, and approval was obtained for creating primaeval monuments of nature with a total area of 857 hectares.
