Registration Date 13-02-2024 Organization State Institution "OM Marzeev Institute of Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" popup.description2  The object of research is dietary supplements. The purpose of the work is to develop approaches and recommendations to support and improve the psycho-emotional and physical condition of military personnel and civilians under martial law conditions and to improve the developed method of detecting undeclared APIs in dietary supplements using modern chemometric methods to provide the civilian population and military personnel with the necessary nutrients. Research methods - sociological, bibliographic, physico-chemical, statistical, analytical. On the basis of the obtained results, the need for conducting additional questionnaires and research was identified in order to develop express methods for determining undeclared components. According to the survey data, it was confirmed that the psycho-emotional and physical condition of the population of Ukraine significantly worsened under the conditions of martial law (except for the parameter "Frequency level of colds and infectious diseases"). It was found that for servicemen who use dietary supplements, the deterioration of their psycho-emotional and physical condition (comparison of integral assessments before and after the introduction of martial law) is significantly less than among those who do not use it. The results of experimental studies confirmed that there are low-quality dietary supplements on the market of Ukraine, which can have a negative impact on the health of consumers. Based on the results of experimental studies, express methods for the determination of undeclared components and quantitative determination of the active pharmaceutical ingredient melatonin in dietary supplements have been developed.
