The purpose of the study is to improve the methodology for establishing the actual volume and cost of completed construction works based on reporting documentation for a unified methodological approach when conducting forensic construction and technical examinations. Research methods – generalization of the theoretical, methodical and legal foundations of forensic construction expertise on the issues of establishing the actual volumes and costs of construction works and works on other types of construction according to reporting documentation. Comparison of design and estimate documentation with reporting documentation and volumes of actually completed construction works. Theoretical and practical results - a system of signs and criteria has been developed and supplemented, allowing to establish the procedure for carrying out a field survey with further determination of the types, volumes and cost of repair and construction works that can be determined visually, and works that are classified as hidden. The novelty is the presentation of an algorithm for the use of modern building standards and rules in the field of construction, with the aim of identifying deficiencies and violations in the preparation of reporting documentation on the actual volumes of completed construction, construction and assembly, repair and construction works and works on reconstruction, restoration and technical re-equipment, which the cost of such works is formed. Effectiveness of implementation - methodological recommendations will allow to increase the completeness of research, to expand the possibilities of conducting expert construction and technical research and expertise, to increase the objectivity, quality and evidence of research results.
