Purpose - to form a rational sequence of measures in the process of certification of aircraft and related products. The paper analyzes the regulatory framework of Ukraine and European countries governing the procedure and procedures for certification of aircraft, related products, components and equipment belonging to military equipment, as well as the organizations of the developer and manufacturer. Based on the results of the analysis, the purpose and object of the study were clarified, which are the urgent need to develop a national procedure for certification of aircraft and related products. The study focused on the aircraft certification process. The issues of certification of aircraft components and equipment that belong to military equipment, as well as the approval of the developer and manufacturer organizations, are described in the report in a more generalized manner to understand the holistic process, due to the existing administrative procedures of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine. Proposals have been developed for the distribution of tasks between the State Research Institute of Aviation (SREIA), the State Research Institute for Testing and Certification of Arms and Military Equipment (SRI AFM), and the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine (SAAU) in the process of certification of aircraft, related products, components and equipment belonging to military equipment, as well as developer and manufacturer organizations.
