Theoretically and experimentally, the need for purposeful breeding and determination of the optimal age for starting the use of repair breeding young pigs is substantiated. The biological, histomorphological, physiological, and hematological indicators of breeding young animals, breeding boars and sows of various breeds at different ages and physiological conditions were comprehensively studied. For the first time, a comparison of the linear diameters and volumetric indicators of spermatozoa of breeding boars of modern breeds was carried out. New schemes and possibilities for improving the reproductive qualities of sows and the reproductive capacity of breeding boars through the use of biologically active drugs have been developed and tested. The theoretical aspects regarding the ethological features of repair pigs during synchronization, stimulation of sexual desire followed by artificial insemination are deepened. The regulations for training the phantom and evaluating the sperm productivity of repair boars have been improved. The intensification of pig reproduction has been introduced in the conditions of breeding pig farms in the south of Ukraine.
