S. Pidstryhach of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  The objective of this research work is: the development of efficient methods for evaluating the strength of shell structures with account for the elastic-plastic deformation of the material interacting with the elastic environment; modeling of the dynamic behavior of orthotropic plates with inclusions of an arbitrary geometric configuration; study of elastic and limit equilibrium of structural elements with filled crack-like defects and contact cracks; development of analytical methods for the research and calculation of the thermoelastic state of solids with multilayer thin coatings under thermocyclic treatment; establishing the conditions for ensuring the optimal distributions of stresses and displacements in nonhomogeneous solids and determining the ways of practical achievement of the given thermo-stressed state. The research methods are the following: boundary elements, collocations, quadratures, singular integral equations, generalized boundary conditions, linear and nonlinear integral equations, direct integration. The obtained results: a mechanical-mathematical model of an elastic shell element with a nonhomogeneous filler and a method of rational design of a profile with an open shell were developed; a model of crack healing with a non-contrast material was developed; the ultimate equilibrium of a cylindrical shell with a longitudinal crack under time-varying loading was investigated; with the use of generalized boundary conditions, thermo-mechanical processes in a body with coatings during thermocycling were analyzed; the method of direct integration for axisymmetric and three-dimensional problems of the theory of thermoelasticity for bodies bounded by plane and cylindrical surfaces is generalized; a methodology for constructing solutions of three-dimensional and axisymmetric problems of thermoelasticity for a non-homogeneous layer has been developed; a method of determining temperature fields for achieving specified stresses in non-homogeneous bodies has Product Description popup.authors Bazylevych Liubov V.
