The purpose of the research is to identify patterns and differences in the formation of yields of single and multi-sprouted varieties of fodder beet under different mineral nutrition systems and cultivation techniques, to establish their influence on the quality of root crops in the context of climate change in the northern part of the right-bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. To develop effective resource-saving and drought-resistant technologies for growing fodder beet. Research methods - field and laboratory with the use of visual, measuring and weighing and calculation methods to determine the phenological state of plants and plant communities, their botanical composition, productivity; chemical methods to determine the chemical composition of the feed, physicochemical and agrochemical properties of the soil. Research results. At the spring stage of development, multi-sprouted varieties of fodder beet prevailed over single-sprouted ones in terms of seed germination energy, plant growth, and leaf surface formation. The highest values of leaf surface area were observed in the phase of closing row spacing against the background of mineral (N45P45K45 and N45P45K45 + a complex of macro- and microelements) fertilizers. The highest leafiness on the background of complex mineral nutrition was observed in multi-sprouted varieties: Centaur - 51.7 thousand m2/ha, Sonet - 49.7 thousand m2/ha, Brigadier - 49.5 thousand m2/ha. In terms of yield, single-root beet varieties were inferior to multi-root varieties, but were ahead in terms of dry matter content, with the exception of Centaur (semi-sugar form), where the dry matter content reached 12%. In general, the dry matter content of single-sprouted varieties exceeded 11%, which is 0.5-1.2% higher than in multi-sprouted samples.
