Subject of study – the scientific and methodological support of the educational process of expert gemologists training. The work purpose – the development of scientifically based recommendations for modernization of gemological education, the main current programs updating, the design of new training courses system of different levels of complexity, professional development programs taking into account the latest trends in the development of gemological research and international practice of educational services in the field of gemology. Research methods – analysis and generalization of international experience in the field of gemological education, the development of updated scientific and methodological support of the Curriculum for the expert gemologists training. The scientific and methodological support of the Training program of gemological experts at SGSU was improved, new programs of additional and shortened specialized training of gemological experts were developed and implemented, the project of "Methodological recommendations for organization and conducting gemological training courses of various levels of complexity according to the Training program of gemological experts" was developed and the "Concept of modernization of gemological education at the SGSU" was formed. The results of the scientific research and scientific-technical works will be implemented by the SGCU in the expert gemologists training for expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Customs Survice, for those enterprises and organizations of Ukraine that continue to work under martial law, accredited experts by SGCU and also recommended for use in higher educational institutions that conduct studies in the field of gemology, mineralogy, geology, jewelry technologies and design, commodity science of gemological objects, etc., in specialized professional educational institutions.
