Gryshka National Botanical Garden NAS of Ukraine popup.description2 The report is laid out on 349 pages. (in 2 parts), contains 45 tables, 157 figures and appendices. The bibliography includes 567 titles, of which 401 are in Latin. The report consists of an abstract, an introduction, 6 chapters, conclusions, a list of references and appendices. The purpose of the work is to develop the scientific principles of preserving and enriching biodiversity, working out mechanisms for optimizing the introduction and production process, increasing the adaptability and resistance of plants, determining valuable sources of secondary metabolite carriers and introducing original genotypes of food, energy and raw material plants into the culture. The object of research is the process of developing fundamental principles for the introduction of new useful plants in Ukraine. The subject of the research is introduced and autochthonous species of useful plants with a complex of economic and valuable features. These are representatives of 5 families, 6 genera, 24 species and 23 cultivars. Important scientific and practical results were obtained, which consist in the development of fundamental principles of mobilization, preservation, enrichment and effective use of introduced and autochthonous plant resources to ensure food, energy and environmental security of Ukraine. Physiological-biochemical, genetic and biotechnological mechanisms of increasing the efficiency of the process of acclimatization, adaptation, introduction of plants, reproduction of phytogenetic diversity of plants (2560 taxa) were developed. The potential of crops new to Ukraine as a source of protein, lipids, sugars, and biologically active compounds has been discovered. New genetic models of economically valuable introducers were created to increase plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses (10 new varieties). The influence of introduced and autochthonous plants on the biochemical, microbiological and agrochemical properties of the soil was established.
