To form the genealogical structure of the breed, the progenitors of the Vesely and Lovchik lines were identified among the repair boars, and a combination of boars and sows was determined to expand the breed's population and form factory lines. The restoration of the Myrhorod gene pool should be carried out taking into account the results of single nucleotide polymorphisms of genes and their associations with productive traits. Selection of animals for reproduction should be carried out after typing of young animals and preference should be given to pigs with genotypes p.1426 MC4R GA, MC4R AA, g. 22 CTSF CC, g.2845 LEP TT.
