As part of the R&D implementation, a study was conducted on the choice of architectural and structural type, main dimensions and displacement, assessment of the vessel's seaworthiness; the general arrangement is formed; the hull structures and arrangements are designed; the selection of propulsion plant and power unit was carried out; the selection of devices, life support for the crew, general ship systems was carried out; the choice of means of communication, navigation and signaling, automation, management and control systems. A set of documentation of the contracted engineering design was developed according to the nomenclature of documentation following the requirements of the Classification Society, which allows the following conclusions to be drawn: the set of documentation allows the potential customer to start negotiations with the shipbuilding plant for the construction of the vessel; the designer is able to start cooperation with the Classification Society regarding the review and approval of the project, in the scope of a set of documentation for the vessel under construction; when concluding a contract for the construction of a vessel, to start the development of design documentation.
