IR SPECTRA, ALBUMIN, CONFORMATION CHANGES, MEDICINAL SUBSTANCES, CHEMICAL DRUGS, ONCOLOGICAL DISEASES, CHEMOTHERAPY. The object of the study: spectra of thin films — blood smears of cancer patients receiving chemotherapy treatment. The purpose of the work: to develop a methodology for evaluating the interaction of chemotherapy drugs with blood proteins of a cancer patient during chemotherapy treatment based on the method of recording spectral indicators of blood smears in the mid-IR range, suitable for use in clinical practice. Research methods: analysis of literary data, the method of infrared spectroscopy, selection of patients for research, statistical methods, use of author's computer programs. The methodical approach based on the author's method of recording the spectra of blood smears with the assessment of the conformational state of albumin and the way it interacts with chemotherapy drugs is as close as possible to the method of assessing the binding of chemotherapy drugs to the blood proteins of a patient with cancer in vivo. Changes in the spectral parameters in the area of alpha and beta structures of thin blood films of patients with blood cancers after administration of a chemotherapy drug to the patient indicate the presence of the ability of the patients' blood albumin to form bonds and characterize the ability of the protein to bind to the chemotherapy drug and deliver it to the site implementation of its influence. The absence of changes indicates a violation of the process of realizing the effect of the chemotherapy drug and is considered an important factor in reducing the effectiveness of chemotherapy.
