The work aims to create organizational and methodological support for the development of tools for conducting scientific research in pedagogy in higher education institutions in Ukraine. The paper presents the main approaches to solving the problem of developing tools for conducting scientific research on pedagogy in higher education institutions in Ukraine. The paper theoretically substantiates the organizational and methodological support for the development of tools for conducting scientific research in pedagogy in higher education institutions in Ukraine. Among the conditions for conducting scientific research are the implementation of psychological and pedagogical support, the use of an activity approach in combination with interactive and innovative methods of conducting scientific research and the implementation of cooperation technology, taking into account the primary research competence of students. Methodological recommendations aimed at the formation of research competence of applicants have been developed. It is noted that these recommendations contribute to the involvement of applicants in active professionally oriented forms of research work, the use of cooperative and interactive learning, and also focus on the further development of research competence through motivation and activation of cognitive activity.
