Waste-free technologies make it possible to take into account the fibers potential of the stem and obtain products with various functional purposes. An analytical review of the results of research by domestic and foreign scientists was carried out regarding the rational sequence of technological operations at the stage of harvesting oilseed crops. The influence of natural conditions on the formation of the stem part of the crop of oleaginous bast crops was studied. The identification characteristics of the biomass of oil bast crops are proposed.
