Various methods of collecting oilseed and long-stemmed flax have been tested. A raw material base for further research has been formed. The technological characteristics of the obtained crop are determined. As a result of the conducted research, the classification of residues and biomass waste of oilseed crops and the algorithm for assessing the suitability of plant raw materials for processing according to a certain technology were theoretically substantiated. In this case, the main technological operation, which can be common to all types of plant residues, is decortication and grinding. Experimental equipment was developed - a drum-type decorticator. In order to increase the efficiency of the biomass use of oleaginous bast crops, a separate harvesting technology is proposed. Compared to existing technologies, the technology takes into account the maturity phase of the linseed stem and allows to reduce the loss of linseed seeds, as well as obtain additional new types of products from straw biomass. For the implementation of the proposed technology, the equipment is offered, which will ensure the performance of operations: picking up the swath from the field; destruction of seed pods, selection and cleaning of seeds; reduction of elastic properties of stems; formation of small rolls; unloading rolls and seeds. Equipment was developed and manufactured to determine the content of harmful substances in the products of incineration of linseed oil residues. Combustion studies of samples of small-sized fuel rolls made of linseed straw with the addition of straw of other agricultural plants were conducted.
