SOURCES OF IONIZING RADIATION, RADIATION-INDUCED DISEASES, DISABILITY, EXPERTISE The aim of the work is to determine the impact of radiation exposure on the formation of persistent disability due to the most common non-oncological and oncological diseases to develop recommendations for optimizing the medical expertise of the main diseases that led to disability of victims of the ChNPP accident in the remote post-accident period. Design: retrospective-prospective research based on the materials of medical expert cases (during 2013-2023, 58,137 expert medical cases were considered). As of 01.01.2023, 1,613,433 people had the status of victims of the ChCatastrophe in Ukraine. 99,225 people are persons with disabilities - category 1 victims. The total number of affected adult citizens decreased by 24.06% compared to 2008. The number of clean-up workers decreased by 41.30%. The number of adult victims decreased by 25.52%. Oncological diseases were the subject of medical expertise of their causation with the impact of the consequences of the ChNPP accident in more than 50% of cases, diseases of the circulatory system in 32% cases. Risks (QR) of the development of the most common non-oncological and oncological diseases caused by radiation exposure were estimated. The results of the research were published in the Ukrainian (2021) and English (2023) versions of the National Report of Ukraine, 5 articles of scientific papers, including 3 publications indexed in Scopus, 10 abstracts, 6 reports at scientific forums and attached to the information and analytical materials of parliamentary hearings and round tables of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management (2021, 2022, 2023), 12 lecture reports included in the WHO educational module in Ukraine.
