Features of the occurrence of fire processes in power batteries of electric vehicles (using the example of TESLA MODEL S) The object of research is the power lithium-ion battery modules of the Tesla model S electric car. The subject of the research is the effect of an open flame on the fire hazard of the power lithium-ion battery modules of the Tesla model S electric vehicle. The purpose of the work is to determine the influence of temperature from an open flame on the operation of the ventilation valve and the ignition temperature of the lithium-ion battery modules of the Tesla model S electric car. Research methods – experimental and theoretical research methods. In the theoretical research method, operations such as synthesis, analysis, systematization, generalization, etc. were used. The work analyzes the available statistical information and published primary sources on the problem of electric vehicle fires. The prerequisites, development trends and interest of the scientific community in the study of electric vehicles are outlined. The features of the development of electric vehicle fires, which differ from fires of vehicles with internal combustion engines, as well as the factors influencing their development (electric vehicle fires) are described. A full-scale field study of the lithium-ion power battery modules of the Tesla model S was conducted for fire hazard. The main hypotheses have been put forward for the probable cause of the fire of the battery provided for research. Product Description popup.authors Yemelianenko Serhii O. Andrii F.
