The aim of the work was the development, manufacture and experimental research of a source of ultracold rubidium atoms for an absolute atomic gravimeter based on the interference of cold atoms, the development of theoretical models of new schemes of interaction of cold atoms with Raman laser fields in an atomic interferometer. The source of ultracold atoms is developed on the basis of methods of deep laser cooling of rubidium atoms in a magneto-optical trap. Testing of the laser system elements, on the basis of which the laser cooling system is being built, was conducted. Drawings of the main parts of the source of ultracold atoms are presented. Theoretical estimates of the intensity of laser radiation necessary for cooling atoms have been made. The technology of filling the source with metallic rubidium and methods of controlled supply of atoms to the laser cooling system are described. A new scheme of a possible atomic interferometer based on the long-term interaction of atoms with counterpulses of long duration is proposed. The proposals are based on the original ideas of the project's executors, published earlier. For theoretical calculations, the Schrödinger equation method was used for the description of rubidium atom interaction with a resonant laser field in a two- and three-level atom model.
