In particular, analysis of patent information databases (WIPO - World Intellectual Property Organization Patent Database (PATENTSCOPE); USPTO - United States Patent and Trademark Office; EPO - European Patent Office (Espacenet); JPO - Japan Patent Office; SIPO - State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C.) and the base of nanotechnological products StatNano made it possible to determine the main trends in the synthesis of nanostructures and priority materials, and the review of literary sources made it possible to highlight the types of nanomaterials that can have a dual purpose. As a result of the second task of the reporting stage, the current state and problems of professional training of future specialists in the field of nanomaterials science in new realities were investigated. First of all, the monitoring of the academic potential of higher education institutions of Ukraine and the factors hindering scientific activity was carried out. As a result of the implementation of the third task of the reporting stage, theoretical justification and development of the concept of professional training of future specialists in the field of nanomaterials science for productive activities in new realities with the use of synchronous and asynchronous learning technologies during distance and mixed forms of education were carried out.
