Basic systems of fractal stepped multiwavelets of a new class have been built, methods and algorithms of fast multiwavelet transforms of low linear computational complexity have been developed, which represent a new multiwavelet technology for signal and image processing. Two methods of image coding based on fast multi-wavelet transforms are developed, which represent a new multi-wavelet technology for image coding. The computer technology of image coding was developed based on the proposed methods. Experimental results were obtained and their comparative analysis with known methods was carried out.
