Compared with the materials of recent years, no significant differences in the composition and structure of the hydrobiological communities of the water areas of the Danube-Black Sea GSH were found. The structure of bacterioplankton indicates stable contamination of water with organic substances, which can cause toxic effects, exceeding the norms of sanitary indicator bacteria was also recorded. Comparison with the results of the long-term perspective revealed an increase in species richness of benthic invertebrates and quantitative indicators of bacterioplankton. The general structure of animal and plant communities did not undergo significant changes. The stability of the ecological state according to the indicators of benthic invertebrates and ichthyofauna was noted, which may indicate the adaptation of hydrobiocenoses to the constant anthropogenic influence of hydraulic engineering and shipping. At the same time, the comparison with the materials of the long-term perspective showed certain negative trends towards a decrease in the concentration of oxygen in the water of the water areas of the HSC, a decrease in the values ​​of the index of the trophic status of the water areas by macrophytes to the limits of a "satisfactory" state, and a deterioration of sanitary and microbiological indicators.
