A theoretical analysis of the economic functions of entrepreneurship and the comprehensive mechanisms of its functioning in the era of global transformations has been carried out. Entrepreneurship remains a key driving force of social progress. In the context of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022 and subsequent transformations, Ukraine has focused on economic development and improving the well-being of its population, making the studied topic extremely relevant. The research reveals the economic nature, stages of evolution, characteristic features, patterns, and trends of various directions of entrepreneurial activity, and provides recommendations for improving the entrepreneurship system in Ukraine under global transformations. The study uncovers global trends and specifics of entrepreneurship development, historical milestones of entrepreneurship, and conducts sectoral analytical studies on the issues of sustainable entrepreneurship and ways to address them. It substantiates the possibilities of minimizing fictitious entrepreneurial activities and characterizes the opportunities and threats of financial support for entrepreneurship for further development and economic recovery of Ukraine. As a result of the research, some provisions have been developed into methodological recommendations and practical advice, which are already being used in teaching disciplines and discussed at international scientific and practical conferences.
