With the help of a complex method using chromatography, investigation of the propensity of specified coal bed to spontaneous combustion was carried out. It is established that coal of coalbed C6 of mines "Stepova" and "Yuvileina" of "Pershotravenske Mine Management" is not dangerous for spontaneous combustion.
