The purpose of the research: to find an adequate mathematical description of the process with the aim of effective influence on its kinetic parameters, which will ensure obtaining a material with the desired electrophysical properties. Research methods and equipment: performing experimental studies, analysis of scientific and technical and patent literature, use of topokinetic analysis. It has been proved that the topokinetic analysis of the process of carbothermal self-recovery of dispersed samples "Wustite-graphite" can be applied to the process of iron oxide reduction using the Avrami-Yerofeev equation in combination with the Sharpe-Hancock procedure. The calculated imaginary activation energy of this process, Ea, is equal to 141.34 kJ/mol. and it is shown that the process is limited by the carbon gasification reaction. The object of the research in the second section is the process of processing steel in the intermediate ladle of the MBRZ with powder-coated wire with a modifier. The purpose of the study is to find the optimal technological parameters of the effect of the modifier on the quality of low-carbon steel and to determine the optimal way of introducing powder-coated wire into the intermediate ladle, which will ensure a high level of calcium assimilation. The introduction of the modifier in the form of SiCa powder wire should be considered optimal. The presence of a steel shell in which the modifier is located creates conditions under which Ca is released from this shell after its complete melting in the lower horizons of the metal melt. Having a low melting and boiling temperature, as well as a much lower specific gravity compared to the metal melt, calcium undergoes the following stages of interaction with it: liquid state - the boiling state of the modifier - the state of transformation of Ca into steam.
