Purpose of the research is developing effective algorithms for finding suboptimal solutions to the problem of warehouse allocation under various types of constraints. Research methods: analytical, economic and mathematical modelling, simulation modelling. The research is devoted to the problem of warehousing in a certain territory with existing infrastructure, which is important for business organisations. The study reviews a number of formulations and mathematical models of the problem of warehouse location under certain constraints, develops a mathematical model on graphs for the problem of warehouse location as a graph covering problem, and constructs a fragmentary model of this problem. To solve the problem on the basis of the fragmentary model, algorithms for finding suboptimal solutions to the graph covering problem based on various metaheuristics (evolutionary algorithm, jumping frogs algorithm, ant colony algorithm) and corresponding computer programs that implement them have been developed. In order to test the efficiency of the algorithms, a random graph generator based on the Erdos-Renyi model and its software implementation has been developed. The results of the research can be used in the development of decision support systems for the task of locating production facilities, warehouses, service points, etc. to improve the economic efficiency of business activities.
