 The goals of the work are to develop theoretical and methodological foundations for research and assessment of the impact of COVID-19 and the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine on the reproductive behavior of the population, mortality processes, migration and changes in demographic structures, as well as on marital and family behavior; assessment of demographic losses as a consequence of the COVID-19 epidemic; development of recommendations to minimize the negative consequences of the COVID-19 epidemic on the socio-demographic state of the country; research methods: general scientific, mathematical-statistical and demographic research methods, as well as methods of analysis and assessment of socio-demographic policy; results: estimates of excess mortality by age and sex in Ukraine in 2020-2021 were carried out. and the impact of recorded mortality from COVID-19 and other causes of death on life expectancy gains; a comprehensive assessment of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and a full-scale war on the health of the population of Ukraine was carried out; new approaches to the formation of a sustainable healthcare system based on socio-economic determinants in conditions and after war have been identified; the features of migration and migration policy in crisis conditions have been studied; the impact of COVID-19 on the socio-economic situation of different migration groups was identified; explored the impact of the migration consequences of COVID-19 and war on remittances; the possible consequences of European integration for the development of migration processes in Ukraine have been clarified.
