Methods of verbalization of various concepts in the English language are analyzed. Various approaches to defining “the concept” in modern linguistics have been developed. The methods of relating the concepts of "conceptualization" and "categorization" in modern cognitive linguistics have been developed and the peculiarities of their verbalization on the basis of specific lexicographic and textual material have been investigated. For the first time, cyclic connections of nuclear concepts included in the GENIUS conceptual field have been investigated. Linguistic features of English multi-genre discourse have been analysed. The basic principles of structural, functional, pragmatic and cognitive approaches to the consideration of the meaning of nominative units in modern cognitive linguistics have been developed and the peculiarities of their verbalization based on specific lexicographic and textual material have been investigated.
