In contrast to the existing improved method of forming the plan for conducting joint border operations to combat smuggling activities, it additionally takes into account four stages of the management activity of the head of the border detachment and his management apparatus when developing the content of conducting joint border operations to combat smuggling activities at the state border Recommendations have been developed for the management bodies of the operational and strategic level of the State Border Service of Ukraine on improving cooperation with other law enforcement agencies of the state in planning and conducting joint border operations and improving the main theoretical aspects of planning their conduct of border operations. In contrast to the existing ones, the tasks of interaction and the order of their implementation have been specified, planning principles and their phasing have been proposed. The practical use of the obtained results makes it possible to develop support systems for decision-making by the management bodies of military formations and law enforcement agencies, to substantiate the measures and tasks of units to counter the threats of smuggling activities.
